SERENGETI
NATIONAL PARK:
The
Serengeti is one of the world's last wildlife refuges. This vast
area of
land supports the greatest
remaining
concentration of plains game in Africa, on a scale unparalleled
anywhere
else in the world.
The
word comes from Masai "Siringet", meaning endless plains.
Equals in size
to Northern Ireland,
the
park
contains an estimated three million large animals, most of which
take part
in seasonal
migration
that
is one of nature's wonders.
SERONERA
WILDLIFE LODGE
Seronera
Wildlife Lodge is ideally located at the heart of the Serengeti
plains to track the migration of
wildebeests.
On the edge of the Seronera river, this is the perfect starting
point for safaris setting
out
to discover
lions, cheetahs, elephants and the other fabulous wildlife of
Africa.
The
lodge is built on a "kopjes" (rock-pile) and offers
75 self contained guest rooms. It also features
a
restaurant
and a very pleasant bar overlooking the incomparable Serengeti
plains.
LOBO
WILDLIFE LODGE

Located
in the Northern part of the Serengeti Lobo Wildlife Lodge has
75 rooms. Like its counterpart
further
South, it was constructed around a rocky outcrop using mainly
wood and glass. Because of
its
location this lodge does not feature on many safari itineraries,
but it has a pool and good game
viewing, particularly
at certain seasons.
